Are you unhappy with your career and not sure whether you want to Move Up or Move Out?
What’s the next stage in your career? Are you feeling stuck?
If you are looking for a sounding board, I can help you figure out whether it is time to Move Up or Move Out.
I have helped hundreds of lawyers find more career satisfaction in or out of the law. In my three decades in continuing legal education, recruiting, and coaching, I have worked with lawyers who have used their legal education in every conceivable way.
Helping Lawyers
Are you unsure where your career is heading?
Are you unhappy with your work on a day to day basis but not sure why?
How badly do you want to make partner? Is the problem where you practice? Do you want to be in more of a leadership role? Do you want to go in-house? Are you unsure whether you want to continue practicing? Is it the work? Is it the environment? Is it you?
Some of my clients have found more satisfaction by building a practice. Some have made a lateral move while some have gone in-house or joined the public sector. Some have landed in JD advantage roles (where having a JD is helpful but not required.) Some have left the law altogether.
In law school, I had coop jobs at the public defender, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Office of General Counsel of Boston University, and the Boston office of a successful toxic tort firm.
Ultimately, I concluded that helping lawyers to advance their own careers was the best career fit for me.
Today I focus 100% of my time coaching lawyers like yourself. And I’ve never been happier professionally or personally.
It is hard to be self reflective. Coaching can help. I know. I’ve worked with four coaches throughout my own career.
As a coaching friend of mine said You can’t read the label from inside the jar. That is why the world made therapist, coaches, and even lawyers!
