Comfort Zone

Coaching is not about pushing you out of your comfort zone. I may be a contrarian on this point. But this is what I’ve concluded after coaching lawyers for several decades.

If I shove you outside your comfort zone, sure, you might do something bold once. But that’s not sustainable, and it won’t change your long-term behavior.

Real coaching is about stretching your comfort zone so it becomes bigger, so the things that feel obstacles today become things you can do tomorrow with confidence and consistency.

Sustainable change happens at the edge of your comfort zone, not miles beyond it.

My job as a coach isn’t to push you off a cliff.

It’s to walk with you to the edge, help you look out, and support you as you take steps that align with the goals you actually care about.

💡That’s how behavior changes.
💡That’s how marketing and networking habits stick.
💡That’s how careers grow.
