The Jennys have been on hiatus for about a year and a half.  But creativity in professional services marketing, particularly in my ProVisors networking group, has shown no signs of abatement.  So we are pleased to announce that the Jennys are back.   Saja Raoof has been named first (and last) winner of a Jenny Award in 2022 (there will be more in 2023!)

Saja is an immigration lawyer in the Bay Area who uses the tag line Taking aspiring Americans from visa application to pledge of allegiance (SM).  That alone should be sufficient to earn her the distinction of this award.

But Saja has been chosen for her powerful use of video teasers to entice group members to register for ProVisors meetings (click here to see a great example) and for perfecting the art of the Zoomonial  (video testimonials to praise other ProVisors member for the quality of their work–you will have to reach out to her for samples.)

In making her selection, my wife, Jenny Gamson, for whom the awards are named, had this to say:  Saja has a great talent for taking the mundane (a networking meeting) and turning it into a must see Hollywood event.  With her Zoomonials (video testimonials), Saja can transform a lifeless verbal endorsement of another service provider into an unforgettable cinematographic experience .

Saja brings so much of her goofy personality to ProVisors that she makes herself unforgettable. Congratulations Saja and don’t stop entertaining us!

Readers are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for Jennys.

The nominees must be individuals (i.e. these are not awards for firms).  The main criteria are:

  1. Creativity
  2. Memorability
  3. Tastefulness (there may be some flexibility on this one)

If you are unfamiliar with the Jennys, I invite you to read the origin story and how the idea came to me one morning at 4:30 a.m.   I also invite you to read about some of the talented past winners including Zohar Nevo, Deb Danger, and Jenny Gamson herself.
